A profile piece:
The
life of Will Feimer
Will
Feimer fears working with his dad the rest of his life. His father owns a big computer software
company where Will takes care of a’lot of the paper work that goes into the
company by working at one of the front desks.
At first, that could be looked at as a bad thing, but it isn’t because
it is what keeps him motivated. He has
become a very determined and motivated 21 year old from Westbury since his
school transfer just 6 months ago. Will
attended college at SUNY Albany for a year before he decided that being there
wasn’t his best decision for his future.
“The party life got the best of me, and I realized I needed to get back
on my feet and focus on my schoolwork,” said Will, who is now attending SUNY
Old Westbury pursuing a degree in Media and Communications. Will mentions that he used to go to bed past
4 A.M. when he had to be awake for class by 8 A.M., which he would have to miss
often. It is a great sign to see the
seriousness in his face when he says he is so happy that all of that is now
behind him and he was able to transfer to a school close to home allowing him
to stay on top of the important things. It is evident that Will is hungry for
success by the seriousness in the way he talks about wanting to help his dads
company as much as he can while he is employed by his company. Will thrives off of the learning experiences
while working with his dad because he knows his dad is always on top of him and
is quick to call him out when need be.
With authenticity in his voice, Will mentioned that working with family
could be good and bad, but that he likes to focus on what his dad teaches him
because he is giving him the skills he will need to be his own boss and run his
own company one day. Will talks with his hands, which is always a good sign for
someone pursing a communications degree and plan to run their own business. Will is very unique because it is evident
that he strives for big success but also enjoys his lazy time spending it with
his girlfriend and family. With time and
constant hard work Will will reach his goals and become the man he has worked
and strived to become.
